Shaen Adey - Mountaineer Chief Team Leader (Cape Town, South Africa)

Shaen Adey is a diverse stills and drone photographer with more than 40 coffee table and guide books (locally and internationally) mainly focussing on hiking trails, travel and adventure tucked under her belt. She also regularly contributes articles and photographs to various outdoor magazines.
Living in Cape Town she’s lucky to call Table Mountain her playground. Her grandfather was an intrepid mountaineer and conservationist who loved the Drakensberg and inspired her as a kid to venture out. His invaluable advice was always, “there’s no such thing as a shortcut on a mountain”, his only rule . . . “be back before dark”. When struggling he’d simply say: “How do you spell can’t’? ‘Try!” Shaen lives by her own motto: “Dare to dream – and don’t look backwards, that’s not where you’re going”.
